I am glad my research on Indigenous Peoples’ Rights at American University Washington College of Law turned from theory to practice at Homer Law Chartered, Washington, DC-based law firm. The firm’s practice primarily focuses on cases, matters, and issues arising under federal law as it applies to American Indian and Alaska Native tribal governments, enterprises, and organizations.
I hope to use my experience, knowledge and skills gained during my Scholar-in-Residency at Washington College of Law and looking forward to the International Legal Studies Program at AU WCL where I have applied in order to continue my studies. And I want to thank Ms. Elizabeth Lohah Homer (member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma) for the opportunity to become a member of the Homer Law Chartered team and the gained position of Legislative Analyst & Legal Assistant at her firm.
